Headshot™ is all about America, it's Combat Sports and all the brothers and sisters around the world who like to do them with us. However, America's veins run all throughout this world as do other countries run through ours. The disaster and deaths in Haiti could reach Biblical levels. That's why it's time to show them and the rest of the world that we can all put down the gloves and guns for a minute and show some love to our fellow man in Haiti.
Headshot™ has decided to donate it's reamaining 2009 show stock and giveaway shirts to the people in Haiti. In doing this we are partnering with the Soles4Souls organization to handle the expediting of this drive. Monitary donations are not recommended since their government and economic structure is weak and in ruins. Money can easily be intercepted and "misplaced" so again, please DO NOT SEND MONEY.
Headshot™ has met thousands of people from show to show and has a lot of really good contacts across the genres we serve. We are challenging all of you (Especially the Clothing companies and retailers) to donate a shirt or two to this cause. We'd prefer new garments or darn near close to new garments to send. Children's clothes are especially welcome. Your school's shirt or any shirts you have lying around your pro shop would be perfect.
Soles4Souls will be accepting donations of shoes as well. They have commited to donating 100,000 pair. Remember, the people of Haiti are not as big in stature as most of us here in the U.S., so this might be a good time for you retailers who are sitting on a bunch of smalls and mediums to get rid of them and help out while doing it. Also, if you're like me, you got a shirt for Christmas or your birthday that never fit and is sitting there in your closet with the tags still on it.
We'll be adding sponsors daily as we go.
Headshot™ will be delivering what we collect on two main dates...January 24th and January 31st. However, we will accept and ship out donations as long as we continue to get them.
If this is something that you can do, please help us out. This will pretty much require us to "Shut down shop" until our new 2010 stuff arrives. But, it's for a good cause. You Daddies out there imagine if you didn't make it through the disaster and your little one or entire family were stuck with no clothes. It's heartwrenching.
